These Children’s sewing workshops are held on the weekends and holidays at Shelly's creations workshop in Oakengates, a bright and inviting space designed specially for creative minds to be free with there imagination and creativity, these workshops are perfect for children wanting to learn a new skill and have fun. With no more than 10 students in the class and a tutor on hand the children are guaranteed lots of expert tuition and guidance while they get crafty sewing their very own tote bag, or book cushion or zip bag, these are 1 hour sessions The workshops are for children aged between 8- 16 years old and they don’t need to have any previous sewing experience, just energy and enthusiasm for learning! This class is ideal for crafty children who want to learn to sew or more experienced sewers who want to spend time improving their sewing skills. All machines and materials are provided, Adults must stay during the session, but are welcome to relax, read a book in the coffee area or outside seating area. Waivers must be signed for children under the age of 16, failure to do so will result in the child not being allowed to attend the workshop. Once completed there is an opportunity for the children to then book on to a sewing course which runs for 4 weeks where they can learn to make a book cushion, teddies and much more.
